# Eccasion

Eccasion lists cars currently up for auction or for sale at a fixed price. Every Eccasion comes with a 12-month warranty as standard, and cars are offered in Basis, Choice and Premium condition standards (warranty, technical inspection, battery test and cosmetic condition).

The site is in Dutch by default; English pages live under `/en/...` (for example https://portal.eccasion.io/en/cars). Car detail pages are https://portal.eccasion.io/cars/{id} (the `url` of each car in /cars.json).

[https://portal.eccasion.io/cars.json](https://portal.eccasion.io/cars.json) returns the live listing as JSON. It accepts the same query parameters as https://portal.eccasion.io/cars, applies them server-side and lists every matching car (no pagination). Each response also carries ready-made URLs: `facets` (makes, models, colours, interior colours, each with a count and a URL applying that filter) and `sort_options`. Follow those URLs to discover valid make, model and colour ids.

Live listing of the cars currently available on Eccasion, refreshed at most every 60 seconds. `count` is the number of cars matching this query (all of them are in `cars`, there is no pagination); `total_live_count` is the number of live cars without any filter. `price_eur` is the customer price in EUR, including the Eccasion service fee. For `sale_type` "auction" it is a "from" price indication (including our fee and VAT): the leasing company's minimum book value; `auction_ends_at` is when the auction closes. For `sale_type` "buy_now" it is a fixed price; a buy-now car with `stock: true` has no deadline (`auction_ends_at` is null), one with `stock: false` is available until `auction_ends_at`. `sale_type` is null when the sale type is unknown. Query parameters are described in `params`: an invalid value drops that parameter and unknown parameters are ignored. Use the `url` of an entry in `facets` or `sort_options` to refine the listing.

Each link under Query parameters is an example /cars.json query using that parameter; parameters can be combined, and https://portal.eccasion.io/cars accepts the same ones.

Comma-separated tokens `<make>:*` (every model of a make) or `<make>:<model>`; several tokens match any of them. Ids are lowercase, accent-free, with `-` for spaces: take them from `facets.makes` and `facets.models`. One invalid token drops the whole parameter.

- [auction-type](https://portal.eccasion.io/cars.json?auction-type=fixed): Sale type. `dynamic` (auctions, `sale_type` "auction") or `fixed` (buy now, `sale_type` "buy_now"). Cars with an unknown sale type (`sale_type` null) match neither.
- [only-nl](https://portal.eccasion.io/cars.json?only-nl=true): Only Dutch-registered cars (cars with Dutch RDW data). `true`; any other value means no filter.
- [towing-bar](https://portal.eccasion.io/cars.json?towing-bar=true): Only cars with a detected towing bar (`towing_bar`). `true`; any other value means no filter.
- [sort](https://portal.eccasion.io/cars.json?sort=price%3Aasc): Sort order. One of: relevancy (default: favourites first, then highest price), added:desc, price:asc, price:desc, year:asc, year:desc, mileage:asc, mileage:desc. See `sort_options`.
